Should we consider our parents as our gods on earth?

The question contains within itself a significant element of blasphemy that should be clarified immediately. To do this, two Commandments of God must be taken into account: the First Commandment of God given to Moses says: "I am the Lord your God, you shall have no other gods before me," and the Second Commandment says: "Honor father and mother."

Our parents are human beings and not gods

According to the First Commandment of God [1], there is One and Only One God, Creator of the Universe. This Unique God is the Heavenly Father of all human beings on earth. Therefore, considering our parents as gods is a serious offense against the first commandment of God. God is God; God alone is Holy and thus worthy of worship and veneration on Earth.

Conditions for honoring our parents

On the other hand, our parents deserve all the consideration that comes from the responsibility that the Eternal God entrusts to them; that of bringing children into the world and educating them on the path of spirituality in order to make them children of God. In recognition of this task, how arduous it is, God commands that each child "honor father and mother." It is expressly said "You shall honor father and mother" and not "You shall honor your father and your mother." Because here, God asks to take into account the notions of "Father" and "Mother".

Role of parents in the spiritual education of the family

Indeed, these two notions require a heavy responsibility on the part of both parents who must be models for the spiritual education of their children. The father and mother must necessarily play their role and support each other in raising children. In this matter, the woman has a noble and heavy responsibility, because God wants her to transform the home into a sanctuary, a temple for the Will of God. In the home, her duty vibrates in the Law of God. She must work for the spiritual education of the family.

Mission of women on earth

All this helps to understand that the highest mission of the presence of authentic femininity on Earth is the same as that has always existed in the highest regions, that is, the ennoblement of her surroundings, the ascension and maintenance of the purity of the entire Creation. The purity of the woman of the Earth lies in her fidelity. It is understood that fidelity is the highest virtue of every woman. For fidelity alone gives birth in the woman to all virtues, without exception. Any woman who trifles with men, in words or thoughts, is unfaithful. By acting in this way, she is unfaithful to herself and to her high mission in this Creation, therefore also on Earth.

Role of man in the spiritual education of the family

In union, the man must face the outside, to fight. However, the woman, securing his back, maintains the connection with the Light and thus forms the nucleus, the contribution of strength and comfort. The man must not, through stubbornness, break the arrangements in use in a house or bring disorder to it. On the contrary, he must provide his help for the reign of harmony. The woman must also respect the work of the man and not think that only her activity should be decisive. The activity of both parties must complement each other in an equal vibration: one should not disturb the other.

Unworthy parents cannot be honored

It is only under these conditions that children must "honor father and mother". Otherwise, how can one honor a dissolute mother who demonstrates infidelity in full view of her children and neighborhood? How can one honor parents who insult each other all day long, making home life hellish? How can one honor parents who initiate their children into witchcraft or seek to sacrifice them every night? How can one honor a drunken, drug-addicted father; a father who maintains mistresses; a father unable to handle the education and responsibilities of the family?...

So many questions and examples that help understand that honoring one's parents must be earned. However, even if parents have not been role models, children should be grateful to their parents who at least have the merit of bringing them into the world. It is therefore up to the children to offer love to their parents whatever they may have been. God alone will judge them.

Parents must not abuse their children

It is absolutely false to say that parents are gods or demigods on Earth. This assertion is often the basis for abuse by some parents toward their children. Indeed, these parents grant themselves the right to choose spouses for their children against their will. Others demand that their children make achievements for them even though they don't have the means; still others force their adult children to follow their ancestral worship devoted to satan, etc.

The adult child must be autonomous and grateful

It should be remembered that once of age and independent, the child must act autonomously in his life as a future parent. From that moment, he can freely correct the errors in the education that his parents gave him, otherwise, he becomes doubly guilty in relation to God's Laws. He can in return help his parents, his brothers and sisters to correct their spiritual errors. Out of love, he must be grateful to his parents who watched over him night and day for his care when he was the turbulent little one or the sickly little one... Thus goes the law of reciprocity of effects: parents bring their children into the world and educate them, and in turn, children bring their children into the world and educate them. Such is the chain of life on Earth.
